Giving back!
Earlier this year I decided to go to see my doctors just to make sure I was healthy especially as I was approaching my 50th year on Earth.
I wasn’t feeling sick or anything but had some minor concerns I didn’t think much of. I chalked it up to just getting older.
So I went in for a physical and some bloodwork and also scheduled a colonoscopy. Only to find out a few weeks laters that I had colon cancer. After some more testing I was given the option to have surgery. The following month I was in surgery to remove a section of my colon. A few weeks later the lab results came in from pathology and my doctor informed me that I was CANCER FREE!
I consider myself fortunate to have had someone push me to go get checked and to have a community of support in the form of friends, family and colleagues who were all part of keeping me healthy.
So the least I can do is remind everyone to go get checked and monitor your health. I also can help raise awareness and funds for cancer research. So that is what I will do.
Please help out in anyway you can. Our efforts will help to raise awareness and raise funds for cancer research. Proceeds from sales of this limited edition t-shirt will be donated to cancer research.
